ABOUT

About CMH MUN

Model United Nations (MUN) is a simulation of the United Nations where students role-play as diplomats representing different countries. MUN aims to promote debate, discourse, and problem solving skills among students by providing a platform to discuss and address global issues such as climate change, human rights, and international security.

CMHMUN simulates the workings of the United Nations, including its committees, councils, and procedures.

Participants research their assigned country’s policies and perspectives on the issue at hand, and then work with other delegates  to negotiate and draft resolutions that address the problem. During the simulation, delegates must speak in character and defend their country’s positions while engaging in debate with other delegates.

MUN promotes critical thinking, public speaking, and diplomacy skills. It encourages students to develop an understanding of complex global issues, think critically about potential solutions, and work collaboratively with individuals from different backgrounds and cultures.

Through MUN, students learn the value of compromise, diplomacy, and effective communication. It is a valuable educational experience that prepares students for the challenges of the real world.

At our very first CMHMUN we combine the long-standing traditions of the CMH Debating Club and CMH Lahore encouraging debate, discourse, diplomacy and documentation in a three day event with a focus on issues that have an impact globally in every field: from medical issues at the WHO to global conflict at the UNSC.
